Family Fun and Fitness Day

Which is just a fancy name for
FIELD DAY!Kinder was orange for the day -
we had fun traveling from station to station with her class.

Rope climb - I didn't know they still did this in schools!

Rock Wall - they even let Lincoln join the class for the day.

Leah's favorite was the Rope Wall -
she made it to the top in record time!

And we finished off the morning with a run around the track!

Of Ice Cream and Graham Crackers

Once we got home from our Utah trip, we decided it was time to start Eli on solids. It was either that or have him knock our plates off the table as he reached for our food. So, of course, being the good parents we are, we started with that nutritional essential... Blue Bell ice cream!

Just kidding... I think. So far he seems to like everything that we give him, except for bananas (the banana ice cream ruined it for him, I'm sure). His current favorite is graham crackers. So be sure to have some on hand in the unthinkable event that you run out of food before he's satisfied!

Now that he understands what this eating thing is all about, he gets very upset if we even think about sitting down at the table without him. And once he's in his chair he looks around expectantly for a tasty morsel to beg off of one of us.

Sam and Addie Forever

Since I'm 1) really bad at remember to take pictures at family events and 2) so slow at posting, I'm going to refer you to the blogs of my wonderful SILs to see pics of the last Thorley family wedding (at least of this generation - hopefully it will be a few years before the grandkids start carrying on the party). Just follow the links here, here, and here.

We did have a great time with all of A's brothers and sisters - they came in from all over the country and we played and played!

...at the park

...at the bouncy place - even Eli got in on the fun there!

and of course at the wedding and reception. We stopped at Hires for an early dinner in between since all they were serving at the reception was yummy ice cream sundaes!

Thanks Sam and Addie! It was a great party! And I believe Addie is officially the favorite aunt now. At our FHE the Monday after the wedding, we talked about temples and asked all the kids who got married in the temple on Saturday - they all yelled "Addie!" (no mention of Sam at all, poor guy).

Kinder Concert

Leah's class has been practicing some songs all week to sing at the PTA concert this month. Here is a short look at the highlights...
