Toothless

Our cute girl finally lotht her other front tooth yethterday.
Actually, it was hanging by a corner, so she agreed to let Dad pull it... which resulted in a bit more trauma than antithipated.
The tooth fairy got all fanthy and brought her a dollar bill folded up like a bow.

The Garden - Week 4

The sunflowers kind of block the view now...

The peppers and okra finally look like they'll survive - thanks in no small part to the rain we finally got this last week. I also planted some lemon cucumbers (the small bushy looking plant near the basil).

Our first tomatoes! This one is a cherry tomato plant. I guess it's time to get the netting up so we don't lose them to the birds.

Family Fun & Fitness Day

Field Day at the kid's school is a lot of fun because they really encourage the family to come and participate as well. They also emphasize the fact that exercise can come in lots of forms... as illustrated by a Zumba warmup.

We also had sack races,

Hula hoops,

a little climbing,

Spin jammers,
and lots of other random activities like balloon volleyball and scarf juggling

Eli even had a good time despite some pesky teeth that insisted on pushing their way in that morning.

Father Son Campout

This weekend was the ward priesthood campout to commemorate the restoration of the priesthood. Andrew and the older two boys headed out Friday afternoon to a member's ranch for the festivities.

Lincoln managed to get the tent set up with no problems and they had a fun evening filled with a fireside program, hide and seek, and of course, s'mores. For those who don't know, we're in the middle of a drought here in Texas so the one glaring absence from the evening was an actual fire. Instead, they made do with electric lanterns and gas grills and fireboxes.

The actual sleeping part of the campout was a little rough since all my boys are apparently allergic to something out at the ranch and since it got a little colder than anticipated for mid-May in Texas, but everyone seemed to have a great time and came home this morning happy and tired.

My Mother's Day

Combined with lots of hugs and kisses, who could ask for more :)
