I don't know how my brother managed it, but the amaryllis bulb he gave us for Christmas was in full bloom today for my birthday - and they were beautiful!

I'd like to claim that I planned this, but it was Emily who thought of giving Amaryllis and selected the bulbs, so I'll have to pass visionary status to her :)
